Haw Bawbags.....Well the Community here is approaching its 1st Birthday (Sept 14th) and its safe to say that we are all going from strength to strength and continuing to grow. We are over the 600 members mark now, and thats with a few purged along the way. So if you know any old dormant members or Scottish gamers then invite them to the mix as i'm sure they will be made very welcome by our members.

In the last few weeks a fair amount of restructuring has taken place and our great community is no longer just a one clan shop. A new Clans forum has been set up as a portal to encourage more teams and Clans and diverse gaming. Clans can now run independently but still integrate within the wider Scottish Community as a whole. Hopefully more Scottish Clans and gamers will join and form a healthy rivalry in our forums.

We had a great summer meet up taking 20 guys paintballing and had a good pub crawl to boot. It was fantastic re-inacting Cod games for real and the whole experience was a good way to put gamertags to faces and form social friendships within our community.

Our charity effort has been a huge success also. The regulars on here have raised nearly £600 pounds from old games trade ins and donations. The Sick Kids ward at YorkHill hospital are gonna get a 40gig PS3 nearly 10 games and a brand new 32" LCD to play on. That alone just shows there is a lot of passion and generosity in our community and that its more than just gaming. We have together made a real difference to share the passion we love with those less fortunate.

Games wise everyone is still on the old favourite shooter COD. This is good, but a bad thing as hopefully more diverse gaming can be done on the plethora of superb games out atm. GTA4, MGS4 and Warhawk are supported here along with a hardcore on PES and some of the PSN games. New games such as Little Big Planet and COD 5 and Resistance 2 look set to shape the forum to come. With so much choice now and the introduction of trophies and gamercards hopefully our community will show that its adept at all gaming genre's. Especially as Home is now on the horizon.

Its great to see so many guys fighting for the forum clan [SCO]. We have so many guys wanting to play now that its still hard accommodating everybody. Our COD teams are continually restructuring, with about 50 of the hardcore regulars fighting on fronts for Scotland. Sadly, Launch classics like Resistance and MotorStorm have all but died. Warhawk is still alive here and looks set for a resurrection of sorts with the new trophy patch looming.

Who Knows where things will be in another years time. Its more than possible we will have a 1000 members and have half a dozen teams competing on the euro ladders. Perhaps even a sposnor now we are so big. This could mean more competitions and help our top players play on LAN tournaments here in the UK and beyond. New members and fresh talent will always come to the fore. However its the dedicated gamers who have made the community what it is today. Without their support and that of some 'key' helpers behind the scenes the community would not be what it is today. Hopefully everyone has made a few friends and had some fun gaming and laughs along the way.

On a Personal level i feel as if thing have been set up pretty much as planned and that its time to take stock, and let the community take its own course. The forum is a platform and structure for everyone to play games smarter. Its up to the individuals now to add each other up and welcome our new members with open arms. Hopefully, there can be lots of opportunities for anyone who wants to play and get involved. Its your community now, I feel i've done my bit ! So please support it and keep the banter up!
