All Scottish gamers are welcome here, but it's the hardcore 100 or so who are the main members of [SCO] who have driven things forward. The Clan scene in the forum has been reformed again as the multi-clan set up was poorly supported. It was felt that all the [SCO] teams would be scrapped along with sub-forums to form one big clan like the old days.

The community here is fighting on 4 main games at the moment. Modern Warfare is the big game out atm ( Mob up Mondays), Killzone 2 (Tuesdays), Dirt 2 & Warhawk (Wednesdays) and Resistance II (Thursdays). We usually mob up at 9pm on these nights, and all have been and are still supported. Post up in the forums if yer interested in joining in. Theres plenty of other games going on like FIFA & PES. SCO are quiet atm on the euro ladders but no doubt that will change soon with MW2. Killzone& Resistance2 are still going strong so please support these games. Modern Warfare is the next big shooter and were currently developing that to make a challenge like in the old days!

We had a great summer meet up in 2009, taking 20 guys to Go Ape and to the Golf Lounge in Glasgow, followed by a great pub crawl to boot. The Xmas meet up 2009 is getting organized atm so come along and meet the scottish gamers. Its a great way to put gamertags to faces and has formed many social friendships within our community. The Xmas meet up last year was a huge success. We went go-karting and took Glasgow city centre by storm with our massive gaming firm! . Its great to get a bevvy with yer fellow gamers and meet your buddies from XMB!

Our charity effort this year was a huge success. The regulars on here raised over £600 pounds again from old games trade ins and donations. The Sick Kids ward at YorkHill hospital got there second donated set up including HD 32 inch telly , games and PS slim. It’s been very popular and the kids up there and staff think it’s amazing, but we knew that already! This just shows there is a lot of passion and generosity in our community and that it's more than just gaming. We have together made a real difference to share the passion we love with those less fortunate. We will be starting this year’s charity drive shortly!

Games wise everyone is still on the old favourite shooter COD. This is good, but a bad thing also, as hopefully more diverse gaming can be done on the plethora of superb games out atm. Resistance II and Killzone are still supported here along with a hardcore on Warhawk, FIFA & PES. New games such as Borderlands, Battlefield BFBC2 and Drakes 2 are supported as well as some of the PSN games. The big one atm is MW 2 everyone is on that atm. We mob up regular each night on a different game that the clan supports. Check the forums for mob up info and gaming nights. With so much choice now and the introduction of trophies and gamercards hopefully our community will show that it’s adept at all gaming genres, especially now Home is starting to get game integration. We are looking at developing the trophy side and hopefully a decent leaderboard will happen and together as Scots we can get some more platinums!

Who knows where things will be in another years time. Its more than possible we will have a 1500 members [SCO] competing on the euro ladders again. Perhaps even a sponsor now we are so big. New members and fresh talent will always come to the fore, but anyone is welcome to post and play regardless of ability or clan. However it's the dedicated gamers who have made the community what it is today. Without their support and that of some 'key' helpers behind the scenes the community would not be what it is today. Hopefully everyone has made a few friends and had some fun gaming and laughs along the way.

On a Personal level I feel as if thing have been set up pretty much as planned and that its time to take stock, and let the community take its own course. We are always reviewing things and the site is always evolving depending what the members want. The forum is a platform and structure for everyone to social network and play games smarter. Its up to the individuals now to add each other up and welcome our new members with open arms. Hopefully, there can be lots of opportunities for anyone who wants to play and get involved. It’s your community now, I feel I've done my bit! So please support it and keep the banter up!
