www.ps3scotland.com is well over a year old now and 2008 has been a huge year for playstation gaming and the community has continued to grow with the platform. We are well over 700 members now and approaching 2 million hits which is incredible since our conception in september 2007. Any Scottish gamers are welcome here, but its the hardcore 100 or so who are the main members of [SCO] who have driven things forward. The Clan scene in the forum has been reformed again as the multi clan set up was poorly supported. It was felt that all the [SCO] teams would be scrapped along with sub-forums to form one big clan like the old days. The community here are fighting on 3 main games at the moment. Resistance II, COD 5 and Warhawk and all are well supported. Pro Evo is also a favourite. Join the Forum ladder if you want, anyone can play.

We had a great summer meet up taking 20 guys paintballing and had a good pub crawl to boot. It was fantastic re-inacting Cod games for real and the whole experience was a good way to put gamertags to faces and form social friendships within our community. The Xmas meet up is set for the 29th of Dec 2008. We are going karting in the afternoon and hitting the boozers in Glasgow after. Anyone si welcome to come along. Our charity effort has been a huge success also. The regulars on here have raised nearly £600 pounds from old games trade ins and donations. The Sick Kids ward at YorkHill hospital are gonna get a 40gig PS3 nearly 10 games and a brand new 32" LCD to play on. That alone just shows there is a lot of passion and generosity in our community and that its more than just gaming. We have together made a real difference to share the passion we love with those less fortunate.

Games wise everyone is still on the old favourite shooter COD. This is good, but a bad thing as hopefully more diverse gaming can be done on the plethora of superb games out atm. Resistance II and Warhawk are supported here along with a hardcore on PES and some of the PSN games. New games such as Little Big Planet and Killzone look set to shape the forum to come. With so much choice now and the introduction of trophies and gamercards hopefully our community will show that its adept at all gaming genre's. Especially as Home is now on the horizon.

Who Knows where things will be in another years time. Its more than possible we will have a 1000 members [SCO] competing on the euro ladders. Perhaps even a sposnor now we are so big. New members and fresh talent will always come to the fore, but anyone is welcome to post and play regardless of ability. However its the dedicated gamers who have made the community what it is today. Without their support and that of some 'key' helpers behind the scenes the community would not be what it is today. Hopefully everyone has made a few friends and had some fun gaming and laughs along the way.

On a Personal level i feel as if thing have been set up pretty much as planned and that its time to take stock, and let the community take its own course. The forum is a platform and structure for everyone to play games smarter. Its up to the individuals now to add each other up and welcome our new members with open arms. Hopefully, there can be lots of opportunities for anyone who wants to play and get involved. Its your community now, I feel i've done my bit ! So please support it and keep the banter up!
